For the September holidays, I traveled to Shikoku with my family. We ventured into the uncharted territories of Shimanto and Ashizuri—places I had long wished to see.
At Kashiwajima Island, famous for its incredible clarity of the water, it was as transparent as the rumors promised. Looking down, the seabed felt so close and clear that it seemed as if we were drifting through the air rather than upon the waves.
